Morah Chaya, formerly known as “Morah Mindy” grew up in Peru, South America, where her parents were college professors. This is where she gained an early love for education. After high school, Chaya came to the United States for college where she attended Southeastern University, and later USF. During her college years, she taught Sunday school and knew then education was the field of her choice.
Chaya shares a love for the child centered educational philosophy of Montessori and eagerly implements its methodology in her classroom while sharing the Jewish holidays, Jewish values and Hebrew language with her students.
Having raised five children, three of whom attended the Hebrew Academy Tampa Bay, Chaya brings her love of Judaism and dedication to children she cares for.
