Rabbi Yossi Dubrowski, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, attended the Rabbinical College of Greater Miami and graduated from Tomchei Timimin Lubavitch in New York, where he received his ordination. In 1983, Rabbi Dubrowski moved to Tampa, Florida along with his wife, Sulha, and their three-week-old son. He assumed the position of Director of the Chabad House Jewish Student Center at the University of South Florida.
In 1985, Rabbi Dubrowski and his family moved to north Tampa to strengthen the Jewish Community and form Congregation Bais Tefilah. Currently, in addition to leading Congregation Bais Tefilah, Rabbi Dubrowski is Executive Director of Chabad Lubavitch Tampa Bay which is headquarters to nine Chabad centers. Rabbi Yossie is also Chief Financial Officer and Dean of the Hebrew Academy Tampa Bay, which was founded by his wife, Sulha. Rabbi and Sulha are proud parents of five children, and many grandchildren.
