Kerry Anderson
Lead Infant and Toddler Teacher

Ms. Kerry is a dedicated and passionate educator with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her classroom experience includes 14 years teaching kindergarten and first grade at The Torah School of Greater Washington in Maryland, as well as third and fourth grades for the Virginia public schools.  She is committed to fostering a love of learning in her students and believes in the power of personalized education to address each child’s unique needs and strengths.  With a passion for igniting the flames of curiosity and a knack for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, Kerry believes that every lesson is a chance to uncover hidden treasures of knowledge.

Her journey as an educator is complemented by her experience as a mother of two, which has profoundly shaped her teaching philosophy and approach.  She believes that raising her own children has given her firsthand insights into the challenges and joys of child development. From navigating the early years of curiosity and discovery to supporting them through the academic and social demands of school, Kerry understands the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.  Her personal experiences have taught her the value of patience, empathy, and adaptability — qualities that she brings into her classroom every day. She strives to create a space where every child feels valued, understood, and inspired to reach their full potential.

When she is not in the classroom, you can find her enjoying time with family, exploring the great outdoors, or traveling the world. Kerry is looking forward to bringing her experiences as both a teacher and a parent to the Hebrew Academy and collaborating with families to support each child's unique journey.
